Ohio Valley SETAC distributes multiple awards each year, many of them focused
on supporting students.
- Marian Vinegar Award: In 1993 the OVC Board established a student award in memory of a founding member of the Chapter, Marian Vinegar. The Board will select one OVC student as the recipient of this award each year. In addition to a monetary value, the OVC will cover SETAC North America membership for the selected recipient. The recipient will also receive travel funds to the SETAC North America Annual Meeting. The amount of this award is dependent upon available funds and upon the recipient successfully completing an application and fulfilling all requirements for the additional travel funds.
- Student Platform/Poster Awards. The number of presentation awards and amount given out at the OVC is funding dependent. Typically, monetary awards are provided to the best student platform and poster presentations at the annual OVC meeting.
- Student Travel Awards: Depending on available funding, the OVC awards grants to support student travel to the SETAC North America Annual Meeting.
